Anyone who truly knows me knows how big of a fanatic I am of Demi Moore. And I mean… BIG. I first saw her when she starred as Jackie Templeton on “General Hospital” back in the 1980’s and have been in love ever since. She’s the reason why I’m in love with girls with long, straight dark hair. She’s the reason why I spent many weekend nights eBay-ing it up for any type of memorabilia that had any association with her. She’s the the only excuse why I saw “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” in theaters a staggering 10 times. There MAY have existed a time when I went to my work on her birthday with an actual birthday cake. I own every single film of hers on VHS and DVD (and some on Laserdisc) including her first film, PARASITE 3-D. I own 98 percent of every single magazine cover she has been on… including any foreign publications.
Call me insane. Call me crazy. Just ask Kristin. She thinks that my collection and fanaticism is a bit borderline stalker-esque. I don’t care. I have been in love with Demi Moore since I can remember, and she is the ONLY celebrity that still drives me absolutely head-over-heels crazy.
Her latest film, BOBBY, starring Anthony Hopkins, Sharon Stone, Lindsay Lohan and hubby Ashton Kutcher invades theaters on November 22nd… and guess who will be first in line at the theater that day? Do I need to request off from work so that I can see the first showing just like I did with “Charlie’s Angels”? I know, I know… I’m a nerd, but this is the person who I have idolized since I was a first grader! This isn’t some overnight fascination… she’s been a central figure in my life for 26 years now.
